Cranberries are a quintessential holiday fruit, perfect for sauces, desserts, and even decor. Cranberries are also a great addition to fancy beverages. This easy gin and cranberry holiday cocktail is a refreshing and delicious recipe, a festive touch for celebrating the holiday season.

Easy Gin Cranberry Holiday Cocktail Recipe

Making your own cocktails is fun and festive. Although many holiday and Christmas-themed cocktails tend to be heavy, this easy cranberry cocktail is light, refreshing and sweet. Add a little red and green to your parties and enjoy cranberries with or without alcohol.

What Ingredients Will You Need?

This delicious recipe only requires a few ingredients:

  • Cranberry Juice
  • Orange Juice
  • Soda Water
  • 1 Measure of Gin
  • Ice Cubes
  • Fresh Cranberries
  • Rosemary Leaves/Stem

What Kind Of Gin Do You Use?

There are 5 different categories of gin, and any of them could be added to this recipe. I prefer a plymouth gin as it has a more mellow flavor than the other types. That being said, please use whatever gin you prefer when making drinks at home.

Putting This Cocktail Together

In a cocktail shaker, simply fill it with ice cubes. Add the gin and the orange juice. Top with cranberry juice and stir or mix. Feel free to taste the cocktail at this point to get the right flavor. Add more gin, or juice as desired.

Pour the gin and juice mixture into a glass and fill to the top with soda water, adding garnishes such as fresh cranberries and rosemary stems for color. You could also add an orange wedge.

Can You Make This Cocktail Without Alcohol?

What’s great about this drink is you can enjoy it with or without the gin! The gin adds little flavor to the drink, so taking alcohol out leaves you with a refreshing and sparkly holiday mock cocktail that’s beautiful too.

Enjoying This Cocktail

What I love most about this cocktail is that it is sweet, and tart; a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the year. The ruby red color is perfect for enjoying all Christmas celebrations without being too heavy or hot. This is one of my favorite holiday drinks. It’s easy to make too!
