What Ingredients Will You Need?

In order to create this cocktail, I do it in two steps. The first step is to put together the blueberry lemonade. Then I mix with the lavender gin to create the cocktail.

How to Make Blueberry Lemonade:

  • 2 1/2 cups of water
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of fresh blueberries
  • 1 1/2 cups cold water
  • 1 cup of lemon juice

Directions:

In a large saucepan, bring water, sugar, and blueberries to a boil, mixing frequently so that the blueberries do not get stuck to the bottom of the pan.

Remove the saucepan from the heat, cover, and allow to cool for about an hour.

Once the mixture has cooled, strain into a pitcher, removing the blueberry pieces. Add in cold water and lemon juice. Stir until combined.

This should make about 6 servings.

Making the Blueberry Lemonade Lavender Gin Cocktail

Once your blueberry lemonade has been completed, the rest is pretty easy. The hardest part will be picking out the lavender gin of your choice.

For this recipe, I used Lee Spirit’s Lavender Gin. This is a locally crafted Colorado gin, and is not available everywhere. If you’re searching for an alternate, consider Amethyst Lavender Gin, which has the same alcohol content and can be ordered online.

Directions:

Simply add 3 parts lemonade and add in one part lavender gin. Stir the ingredients and add ice, or mix with ice and pour. Add a tablespoon of fresh blueberries to the glass and a lemon slice to the rim of the glass as garnish. Enjoy!

This lavender lemonade cocktail is refreshing and sweet. It’s perfect for hanging out by the lake or the pool, or simply enjoying a hot summer day!

Is there a substitute for the alcohol?

You can boil lavender flowers or buds with the fruit when you make the syrup. I don’t know the exact measurement because I haven’t done it.
